Pool Blaster Aqua Broom SWEEP XL

Pool Blaster Aqua Broom® Sweep XL is Water Tech's latest cleaner in their Pool Blaster line. But unlike previous models of the Aqua Broom the Sweep XL does not rely on “D” Batteries to power the unit but uses a built in rechargeable Lithium Battery. This is a big step up for the Aqua Broom Sweep XL and with a run time of up to 35 minutes this is the perfect cleaner for your spa or small pool.

Here are some of the features of the Pool Blaster Aqua Broom® Sweep XL

No cords or hoses, this is a self contained battery powered cleaner.

Powered by a Lithium Ion rechargeable battery, the new Pool Blaster Aqua Broom Sweep XL is your simple solution for cleaning pool and spa debris. It has an extra-large head and powerful motor so it cleans faster. It can run for up to 35 minutes of run time on a single charge and recharges in 4 hours.
You can use it to clean out your inflatable kiddie pool of grass, leaves and dirt. Use it on your hot tub or spa to keep your effort at a minimum or perfect for spot cleaning your entire pool. With the Pool Blaster Aqua Broom Sweep XL, you will be doing less maintenance and spending more time relaxing.
The Sweep XL is the perfect size vacuum for a small body of water. It is easy to carry and easy to store making it a great tool to have. The best upgrade is the new built in Lithium Ion battery and the power of this vacuum seems to have also been increased. If you have fine dirt you can also purchase the sock inserts sold separately. They are called Micro Filter Bags and you can purchase them from the Water Tech Website:

In most cases the standard debris bag will work just fine and for such a small vacuum the debris bag is actually a decent size.

I like the fact that you can also connect it to a standard pool pole. This comes in handy in deeper bodies of water like an in-ground spa or to vacuum pool steps. The included pole pieces work well for an above ground spa and may be all you need in most cases. I tested the Sweep XL with both a standard pole and the included pieces and you can use either or both like me if needed.

Bottom line, this is a big improvement over their original Aqua Broom and with the one year warranty it is a good investment for a battery powered vacuum.
