In this Podcast I go over some of the resources that I have available to help you if you are a Homeowner who maintains your pool on your own or if you are a Pool Service Professional and need help out in the field. Besides my YouTube Channel I have many more ways in which I can help you.

I work out in the field full-time and I spend about 35 hours per week servicing pools and filming. The rest of the time I am editing videos, working on my Website, writing Blog articles, recording Podcast, answering comments and questions, responding to Patreon texts and phone calls (more on that later) and doing Social Media posts. I don't have a team of people working for me, it is just me doing all of this. I also do many things in my community and church and volunteer 6-8 hours per week. I do a lot and what drives me is a spirit of service. Helping others is my main goal.

I got started in doing all this after working several years on the Dave Ramsey plan to become debt free. This quest to pay everything off inspired me to pass it on just like Dave Ramsey does everyday on his radio show. I thought, how can I be a blessing to others and help those who also may be on a budget and can't afford pool service. On the same token last year I decided to expand and create a site where I also help pool service professionals who are starting out make money and succeed in the business.

So I created my Patreon Page where I have different levels available where you can call me directly or text me in real time. This is open to the Pool Service Professionals as well as homeowners who want one on one real time help. You can learn all about it directly on my Patreon Page:


You probably have found me here on YouTube if you are listening to this Podcast right now. I have an extensive video library with over 650 videos covering everything related to pool care. I spend a lot of time filming and editing these videos to deliver the best possible content for you in a clear and concise way. Can I Use Clorox Bleach in my Pool?

Regular Unscented Bleach I started doing pool service when I was 16 years old back in 1988. I took a break from the industry and did some Real Estate Investing and ran a small business for awhile. But I always loved working outdoors and so I decided to do pool service again. So I have about 15 years of practical experience in the field. My specialty has always been water chemistry as I was formally trained by an experts in the field. So I am well versed in most of the chemicals that are on the market today and I have used and tested a lot of different products. So when you hear those in the industry discourage and even slander anyone who uses bleach in their pool, you may think that it is not a product that you should use. Mr. Pen Non-contact Voltage Meter - Don't Get Electrocuted!

One of the biggest issues you will run into with anything connected to an AC power is if that device or equipment is receiving power. In the pool service industry, this often is the case when you find that a pool pump won’t turn on. Or if a pool timer doesn't on, is it receiving power? Also for repairs with so many breakers being unmarked, how do you know you turned off the right breaker. Bottom line, a non-contact detector like the Mr. Pen is an easy way to see if power is going to the equipment/device and the line is active. A non-contact voltage detector is just that. You don’t need to make contact with the line like with a Multimeter. Plus you don’t need to adjust any settings or knobs to get a voltage reading. Simply hold the Mr. Pen over a cord or wire whip and if there is AC power a red light will turn on and an audible beep will come out of the device.
