Longest Cordless Pool Cleaner Battery Life -Madimack- GT Freedom I45 Cordless Robot With 4.5 Hour Runtime!

 The Madimack GT Freedom i45 was impressive in many ways. I got a little over 4 hours of run time in floor/wall/waterline mode, whereas the manual stats 2.5 hours in a vinyl pool. I think the pool surface type was the real difference in my testing, as it was in a plaster pool with less resistance. That is an incredible run time! It is also a truly smart cleaner with a great cleaning pattern. Many of these cordless cleaners can’t clean the entire pool, but this one does with ease.



The 100-micron debris basket works just fine. I know many will want a 60-micron option, but I am unsure how that will affect the cleaning ability. It looks like it has the power for a finer micron basket. They have a 180-micron and 100-micron basket available, but nothing finer. That is actually the only real negative aspect of this cleaner coming from the Australian market to the US market. We prefer finer micron debris baskets, but this one did a great job with the finer dirt and silt. 

It has a great, easy-to-use command screen on top, and since this is an Australian product, the build quality is awesome. This feels like a well-made cordless cleaner, and I must return to its amazing run time. They actually have an i80 model that is rated for 8 hours, which is unheard of up to this point!

Mr. Pen Non-contact Voltage Meter - Don't Get Electrocuted!

One of the biggest issues you will run into with anything connected to an AC power is if that device or equipment is receiving power. In the pool service industry, this often is the case when you find that a pool pump won’t turn on. Or if a pool timer doesn't on, is it receiving power? Also for repairs with so many breakers being unmarked, how do you know you turned off the right breaker. Bottom line, a non-contact detector like the Mr. Pen is an easy way to see if power is going to the equipment/device and the line is active. A non-contact voltage detector is just that. You don’t need to make contact with the line like with a Multimeter. Plus you don’t need to adjust any settings or knobs to get a voltage reading.
