This is an intelligent alternative to liquid phosphate removers and an effective method. I like putting it in the skimmer basket and then forgetting about it. There is no need to redo the pool; keep the chlorine in balance, which will take care of the phosphates in the pool, thereby eliminating a food source for algae. 

The main difference between these and liquid phosphate removers is that these won’t cloud the pool, and since they release the phosphate remover in small doses over four weeks, you will not see your filter pressure rise. The liquid phosphate removers tend to cause the pool filter PSI to rise. Not so with these slow-dissolving tablets.

Tablet Procedure:
1. Test the water sample for Phosphate using Swim Check® Phosphate Test Strips.
2. Remove the plastic wrap from the tablet and drop the tablet directly into the skimmer basket. One Swim Check Fix™ Phosphate tablet will remove 500 ppb of Phosphate in 10,000 gallons.
3. The release tablet will disappear slowly (faster in warmer water).

If Phosphate levels exceed 500 ppb, multiple tablets may be used in various skimmer baskets. Only use one tablet per skimmer basket.

Mr. Pen Non-contact Voltage Meter - Don't Get Electrocuted!

One of the biggest issues you will run into with anything connected to an AC power is if that device or equipment is receiving power. In the pool service industry, this often is the case when you find that a pool pump won’t turn on. Or if a pool timer doesn't on, is it receiving power? Also for repairs with so many breakers being unmarked, how do you know you turned off the right breaker. Bottom line, a non-contact detector like the Mr. Pen is an easy way to see if power is going to the equipment/device and the line is active. A non-contact voltage detector is just that. You don’t need to make contact with the line like with a Multimeter. Plus you don’t need to adjust any settings or knobs to get a voltage reading.
