The Jacuzzi JPV100 Professional Grade Pool and Spa Vacuum is a great little tool for vacuuming out your spa and to spot vacuum a small pool. It is a battery-powered vacuum so no cords or hoses are needed. It is designed primarily for spas and hot tubs but can also be used to spot vacuum an above ground pool or in-ground pool.

Basically, you would choose your portable battery-powered vacuum by the amount of use it will get. The JPV100 has a small debris chamber and a compact size so it is ideal for spas and hot tubs. That would be my primary recommendation for the JPV100. If you need to vacuum a larger surface area I would suggest looking at the JPV200 or JPV300. These are designed for vacuuming larger areas and both of these feature larger debris bags.

One thing that I really like about the JPV100 is the included Micro Filter Bags. This will allow the JPV100 to vacuum up very fine dirt and sand along with leaf debris. For a spa or hot tub, you will find this vacuum great for vacuuming up the sand and silt that builds up from bathers getting in and out. If you have a water feature or kiddie pool you will find the low profile of the JPV100 ideal for this application also.

The power of the cleaner is also surprising. You can really see it sucking in dirt and debris and even though the debris bag looks small, it can hold quite a bit of dirt and debris. You, of course, couldn’t vacuum a large pool full of debris, but this is not what the JPV100 is designed for.
